Doug earned his Masters degree in both Clinical and School Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago, School of Social Work. He also holds a Masters of Educational Leadership from Concordia University. He has experience in community mental health and addiction, though most of his career has been as a School Social worker within a therapeutic school setting. It is during this time in which he developed his strength based approach to working with children, adolescents, groups, and families that is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and support. He believes strongly that from our greatest challenges can come our greatest growth. Doug’s areas of expertise are emotional regulation, conflict resolution, mood and anxiety disorders, anger management, self-esteem, family and relational issues, crisis management, trauma, family systems, and parenting skills.
