About Erin Sauer, LCSW

erin Erin has been working in the field of social work for the past 20 years. Erin earned her degree in Social Welfare from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Masters of Social Work from Aurora University. Erin has been a school social worker with elementary, middle and high school age children for 15 years. Erin helps students as they learn to navigate their social world especially older children on the Autism Spectrum. Erin loves working with teens and young

adults who are learning to navigate the next phase of their lives whether college, trade programs, work, and beyond. Erin's special interests are social-thinking, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, adjusting to transitions, working through life decisions, goal-setting, and parent-child relationships.

Erin's therapy style is solution-focused while also helping the client recognize patterns in behaviors that either help or distract from achieving their goals in mental health and their broader life. Erin's use of intentional dialogue with families and children help to re-establish communication patterns that may have been previously strained.

Erin also believes in the healing power of nature and previously worked as a Wilderness Therapist in the northwoods of Minnesota and developed an Outdoor Experiential Education Program for children in the foster care system. Erin most recently completed a 500 mile walk on the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain as a journey of personal reflection. Erin is an avid traveler and has set foot on 6 of 7 continents and loves learning about culture and life
