This training provides a brief introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based approach to help individuals better manage intense emotions, tolerate stress, and improve relationships and the application of DBT skills in the school setting. Although DBT was created for clinical treatment, many of its core skills translate well to school environments where students increasingly struggle with emotion regulation, impulsivity, and interpersonal conflict. Participants will learn the basic framework of DBT and be introduced to several practical skills to help manage challenging situations specific to the school setting.
